Dr. April Bauer grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio. A love of animals was fostered from a young age by her parents and their willingness to let her keep every stray that wandered up to their doorstep. The small family “farm” consisted of dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs, and rabbits.
Dr. Bauer attended Miami University where she received her bachelor degree in zoology before attending Ohio State for her degree in veterinary medicine. After graduation, she lived in Chicago and worked at a busy small animal hospital. Dr. Bauer is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bauer has a special interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and behavior.
Dr. Bauer joined the practice at North Kenny in 2013. She loves being closer to family and is enjoying being back in Columbus with her husband and cat named “Pattycake.”
